Material Science & Supply Chain for the Fusion Industry
Swiss industry combines a historically grown tritium expertise with highly specialized mechanical engineers, unique engineering capabilities and materials-processing know-how. Cluster 3 brings together the mostly smaller, highly specialized companies behind it, offering solutions from a single source with one point of contact.
- Tritium expertise in industrial tritium processing
- Highly specialized suppliers across mechanical engineering, engineering design and materials processing
- One coordinated point of contact instead of a fragmented supplier search
Fuel Cycle Management for the Fusion Industry
Most fusion power plants will run deuterium and tritium in a loop: injecting it, burning it in the plasma, recovering unused gas and newly bred tritium, reprocessing it, and injecting it again. Cluster 3 covers every stage of this cycle with specialized Swiss industry.
Good to know: Cluster 3 can't offer every solution and product itself — but it is networked closely enough that, together with industry and research, it can usually offer an optimal solution. Contact us today.

Deuterium and tritium fuse in the plasma at over 100 million °C — the fusion reaction itself, both the start and end point of the whole fuel cycle.
